Disney Springs - Our Favorite Food Recommendations
Disney Springs is a vibrant and expansive outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex located at Walt Disney World Resort. It's a popular destination that offers a diverse range of experiences for all ages, making it a great option for a day away from the theme parks or for an evening out with plenty of dining options to pick from.
We have hand-selected our favorite picks. As someone who has gone to Disney World every year for the past 5 years I think we’ve got some good insights. Hope you enjoy our recommendations and we’ll make sure to keep updating as we try even more places!
Best Dining Disney Springs
Gideon’s Bakehouse - Gideon's is famous for its "almost half-pound" cookies. These aren't your average cookies; they are thick, rich, soft, and loaded with toppings. They offer a variety of unique and classic flavors such as chocolate chip, peanut butter, cookies & cream, pistachio toffee chocolate chip, and rotating flavors of the month.
The interior of the bake house is small but themed like a moody, gothic old bookshop filled with oddities, vintage artwork, and unique curiosities. Gideon's is incredibly popular, so be prepared for a wait. They often implement a virtual queue, especially on weekends and holidays. While waiting can be long, it allows you to explore other parts of Disney Springs until you receive a text message to return, which is a nice perk. Alternatively you can try to go first thing in the morning and get in line before they open. Beware though the line can start 45 minutes - 1 hour before opening time.
Pros: Rich and decadent cookies, fun packaging, unique flavors
Cons; Typically long wait, not the only dessert at Disney Springs worth having
The Ganachery - The Ganachery specialize in house-made ganache, which is a decadent blend of chocolate and cream. These squares are meticulously handcrafted daily using premium ingredients, including custom chocolate blends. You'll find a wide array of unique and classic ganache flavors, often 16 or more at a time including flavors such as peanut butter, orange, chipotle, cinnamon, Egyptian sea salt, and more.
A highlight is the open kitchen where you can often watch the chocolatiers crafting the ganache and other treats right before your eyes. It's fascinating to see the artistry involved. And if you're looking for a gift or want to take your treats home, they are beautifully packaged in elegant boxes, making them feel like a luxurious indulgence.
Pros: Luscious and creamy chocolate, elegantly designed sweets, easy to package and take home to share
Cons: Each ganache square is $3 a piece
